The Rusty Rooster was officially opened on January 1st, 1999. It was formally named RICH's Bar, and before that the Corner Bar. The building was constructed in 1886 as a two story wood structure. In it's earliest days, the building's main level served as a general store.

"This was a lively spot in the small town of yutan on a Saturday night. The space is laid out well and has ample seating for larger crowds. Even though the place was full there were plenty of places to sit or rest a drink and move around without bumping into others. Liquor cocktails run $4. Can't go wrong with that!"
